Valentina is an Associate in the firm’s business law group and is developing a diverse corporate and commercial law practice.

Valentina recently obtained her J.D. at Osgoode Hall Law School, where she received a Deans Gold Key Award to recognize her contributions to the Osgoode community. Prior to law school, she graduated from the Ted Rogers School of Management at Toronto Metropolitan University with a Bachelor of Commerce, graduating with distinction within the Law & Business stream.

During law school, Valentina was involved with various student run clubs such as the Advocacy Society and the Organization of Latin American Students. She was also involved with Osgoode student government in her third year when she was elected as 3L representative. Stemming from her passion for advocacy, Valentina participated in various negotiation competitions while at Osgoode, and represented the school at the 2020 Canadian National Negotiation Competition and the 2021 National Family Law Negotiation Competition, where her and her teammate for each competition won first place. She also gained practical advocacy skills while a Division Leader at the Community Legal Aid Services Program and a Community Mediator at the Osgoode Mediation Clinic, both which served the wider York University community.

Valentina enjoys living a balanced lifestyle and enjoys trying new restaurants with friends and also maintaining a regular exercise routine through weight training, yoga and spin. Valentina’s first language is Spanish and she enjoys listening to music, reading and watching shows in the language to maintain her fluency.
