James Marino

James recently graduated from the Faculty of Law at Western University.

Prior to law school, he earned an Honours Bachelor of Commerce with a minor in Political Science from McMaster University.

During his time at Western Law, James was deeply involved in the school community. He participated in the Contract Drafting competition, various moots such as the First Year Advocacy Competition and Negotiation Competition, and served as the VP of Finance with the Western Tax Law Association. He was also an active member of the Business Law Association and the Italian Law Society.

Now an articling student, James brings a well-rounded employment background to his legal career. He gained valuable in-house experience at one of Canada’s largest food retailers during his 1L summer, and subsequently worked with Foglers as a summer student. He also has extensive work experience in retail and customer service, which has honed his interpersonal and problem-solving skills.

Outside of his legal pursuits, James enjoys staying active, playing golf and recreational soccer, traveling with friends, and indulging his passion for music, playing both the guitar and piano.
