Rudy is a partner in our Toronto office practicing in the areas of business and technology law.

Rudy’s business law practice focuses on mergers & acquisitions and all aspects of corporate commercial work, including assisting clients with governance matters and general business strategy.

Rudy’s technology law practice focuses on corporate and commercial services and transactions for the development, exploitation, commercialization, financing, acquisition, transfer and licensing of technologies and related businesses in the information technology and e-commerce, manufacturing, cleantech, cannabis, energy and life sciences and biotechnology industries. He also assists clients with early-stage financing activities, strategies regarding intellectual property, franchising agreements and documentation, and licensing, collaboration, joint venture, outsourcing and managed services arrangements. Rudy brings a practical and business–oriented approach to the complex challenges clients face in rapidly changing industries.

Rudy is a licensed professional engineer in Ontario. Prior to his career in law, Rudy had been employed with several multinational corporations in the pharmaceutical, chemical and related industries in various capacities including supervising manufacturing, technical services, product and market development, commercial management and marketing and business development management. This experience has provided Rudy with a deep appreciation of the importance of understanding clients’ businesses and industries and allows him to counsel management, operational and legal teams on day-to-day matters from both a technical and legal perspective when it comes to providing clients with legal services.
