Young is a commercial litigator whose diverse advocacy practice includes complex business disputes, cross border disputes, regulatory hearings, judicial review proceedings, privacy and data protection, product liability, professional liability, franchise disputes, real estate and defamation.

Young is an effective and versatile advocate with extensive experience conducting trials, arbitrations, regulatory hearings and appeals. Lead counsel for the Complainants in a landmark decision by the BC Supreme Court in Liberal Party of Canada v. The Complainants, 2024 BCSC 814, ruling that BC's Personal Information Protection Act (PIPA) applies to federal political parties. This is the first time that a Canadian superior court has considered, and now affirmed, the constitutional validity of applying a provincial privacy law to the personal information practices of the federal political parties.

Counsel for Dr. Katznelson in Katznelson v Canadian Undersea and Hyperbaric, 2024 ONSC 1003 in successfully securing a dismissal of an anti-slapp motion brought by the defendants in a defamation proceeding.
