John graduated from the Faculty of Law at Queen’s University. Prior to law school he obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in Sociology from York University followed by a Master of Business Administration (MBA) with a focus in Finance from the Schulich School of Business.
Subsequent to his undergraduate degree, John worked in the banking industry where he helped clients achieve their financial goals by recommending appropriate products and services.
While completing his MBA he provided clients with strategies for growing and sustaining their business as a Management Consultant. He also worked in the Financial Accounting department for the City of Toronto where he helped prepare the City’s year-end financial statement for review by external auditors and City Council. During law school John was active in student politics, serving as Vice President in the Queen’s Society of Graduate and Professional Students. As Vice President he represented the interests of professional graduate students to administration, third parties and faculty, and sat on various university-wide committees and boards.
During his spare time John enjoys being active outdoors. He is an avid fisherman perpetually in pursuit of bigger fish. He also enjoys cooking various cuisines, watching movies, reading, and socializing with friends.
