Noah practices in the firm's Business Law Group, focusing on mergers and acquisitions, corporate finance and general corporate-commercial matters. Through his M&A practice, Noah has acted on behalf of buyers and sellers in many different industries, including technology, alternative energy, hospitality, insurance, medical/dental, retail, manufacturing and distribution. Through his finance practice, Noah has acted on both debt and equity financings on behalf of lenders, institutional and private equity, and borrowers in a range of industries.
Noah also has experience with public procurement and public-private partnerships (P3s) in the Broader Public Sector. Most recently, he has acted as counsel to several hospitals on complex managed services transactions involving high-end medical technology and information technology projects.
Noah acts for various start-ups, providing advice from the initial phases of starting a business, including incorporation and arrangements between shareholders, through financing and advising on general corporate-commercial needs. Noah often acts in the role of external general counsel as his clients continue to grow and expand.
Noah participates in the mentorship program at his alma mater Western University's Faculty of Law, where he acts as a mentor to first year law students and tries to pass along whatever small amount of wisdom he has learned along the way. He always maintains an active role in the firm's annual recruitment of summer and articling students, sometimes against the firm's wishes. Noah volunteers for Pro Bono Law Ontario's Corporate Law Clinic, where he provides summary legal advice to start-ups and small businesses in an attempt to connect with the community and generally keep it real.
Noah is a Foglers lifer, having first joined the firm as a summer student and then completing his articles with the firm. Noah grinds his own coffee beans in the office and in his free time can be found swimming in the local pool or at the park with his most important client, his son.
