Justin is a partner with Fogler, Rubinoff and practices in our Litigation, Administrative Law and Automotive Law Groups. While Justin provides his clients with advice on a wide variety of matters, his practice focuses on:
- Automotive and Transportation Law
- Dealership Law
- OMVIC Licensing and Registration
- RECO Licensing and Registration
- The Ontario Child Care and Early Years Act and associated Licensing Regime
- Public Vehicle Operators and Licensing
- Employment Law
- Debtor/Creditor Remedies
Justin has appeared before all levels of Court in Ontario and appears regularly before the Licence Appeal Tribunal ("LAT"). Before LAT, Justin has had significant success representing automotive dealerships, salespersons, motor vehicle inspection stations and their mechanics with respect to a wide variety of licensing and registration issues. Justin has also successfully represented livery operators before the Ontario Highway Transport Board.
Justin is a go-to lawyer for issues and questions relating to the following Ontario legislation:
- Motor Vehicle Dealers Act
- Highway Traffic Act
- Public Vehicles Act
- Child Care and Early Years Act
- Repair and Storage Liens Act
- Real Estate and Business Brokers Act
In addition to providing litigation support, Justin regularly assists clients in obtaining and maintaining their professional licences. Justin's attention to detail, combined with his good working relationship with many licencing bodies, allows him to assist clients in obtaining efficient and quality results. Often, delays in obtaining a licence or registration are due to an applicant not being aware of the correct way to answer certain inquiries, or not knowing what information will be required of them during the licencing process. Justin's experience minimizes delay and increases an applicant's chances of success.
As a result of Justin's regular appearances before LAT, in February 2013 Justin was one of five Applicant Representatives invited by LAT's Chair to join the newly established LAT Consultive Committee. Justin assists the Committee in establishing new practices and procedures to make LAT more responsive and user friendly.
Justin is one of only a few lawyers in Ontario with a specialized focus on Dealership Law. Justin's extensive experience allows him to assist dealerships, salespersons and mechanics with all matters involving the Ontario Motor Vehicle Industry Council, the Ministry of Transportation and the Ministry of Environment.
With a client centered approach, Justin is dedicated to providing effective, efficient and practical legal representation. Justin takes care in canvassing with his clients the best opportunities and strategies available to ensure great results.
