Taleen Ohanessian recently graduated from Western University. Prior to entering law school, she earned her Honours Bachelor of Sc ence in Psychology from Queen’s University.
While at Western Law, Taleen successfully competed in a number of advocacy competitions. She received an honourable mention in the First Year Appellate Competition and placed fifth in Lerners Cup. Further, she represented Western Law in the Gale Cup at the Ontario Court of Appeal, where the team’s appellant factum received the second place prize.
Taleen contributed in various other capacities at Western Law. She spent her first two years as an editor for the Western Journal of Legal Studies. In addition, she re-instated and directed the Canadian Lawyers for International Human Rights Association. In her final year, she spent a semester abroad at the University of Nottingham studying international law.
Outside of her studies, Taleen spends her time travelling, cooking, and playing sports.
