Sahar Sayyad

Sahar has recently completed her second year of the JD program at the University of Toronto Faculty of Law. Prior to attending law school, she completed an Honours Bachelor of Arts in Classics and a Master of Arts in Latin, both at the University of Toronto.

This past year at U of T Law, Sahar served as Co-President of Women & the Law, and was a Senior Editor on the Journal of Law and Equality and the Indigenous Law Journal. She also participated in the International Human Rights Program and had the opportunity to travel to Geneva, Switzerland for the Annual Meeting of the United Nations Human Rights Council.

In her spare time, Sahar enjoys trying new restaurants in the city, reading fiction novels, and travelling. She is looking forward to going on exchange to Sydney, Australia this coming fall.
